The Basics of Presentation. Chinese Language

The textbook «The Basics of Presentation. Chinese Language» is a specially designed teaching material for those studying the Chinese language at an advanced level. The goal of the textbook is to develop and improve the skills and abilities of presenting (summarizing) Chinese texts in Russian. The themes of the textbook include social issues and philosophical constants of Chinese society: from the eternal theme of good and evil to the description of such a beautiful feeling as love. Additionally, the lesson texts contain a considerable amount of linguistic and cultural terms, cultural elements, and various types of phraseological expressions. The structure of the textbook includes twelve lessons, two of which are dedicated to the basics of textual analysis and the basics of presentation, while the other ten lessons have a practical orientation. An important advantage is that the textbook integrates elements of a workbook, allowing students to record the final versions of their presentations and observe the «evolution» of their written works. The recommended duration for mastering the course is 48 academic hours, with an average of four academic hours spent on studying one lesson.
