The second tale about the land of Oz, written by L. Frank Baum in response to numerous requests from readers who did not want to part with their beloved characters, is adapted in this edition using Ilya Frank's method: it is provided with a literal translation into Russian and necessary lexical-grammatical commentary (without simplifying the original text).
The uniqueness of the method lies in the fact that memorization of words and expressions occurs through their repetition, without rote learning and the need to use a dictionary. In addition, the reader becomes accustomed to the logic of the English language, beginning to "feel" it.
