Great Lent is called the spiritual spring or the spring of repentance, for every believer, this is a time of intensified prayer and, of course, reading the Gospel. This book contains the Gospel readings of Great Lent in Church Slavic and Russian languages along with commentaries by modern clergymen. These reflections from deeply believing individuals aim to help us not to turn Great Lent into a ritual, but to live it in such a way that we may offer to God our gratitude, faith, and determination to remain with Him forever.
