The building of the "Singer" company is one of the most recognizable buildings on Nevsky Prospect, and it can definitely be called a visiting card of Petersburg.
The building was erected in 1904 according to the project of the Russian architect, academician of architecture of the Imperial Academy of Arts Pavel Suzyor.
Over time, aside from the "Singer" company, it housed tailoring workshops, the American consulate, a publishing house, and one of the most famous bookstores in Russia - the "Saint Petersburg House of Books".
