The Singer Company Building is one of the most recognizable buildings on Nevsky Prospect, and it can definitely be called a business card of St. Petersburg.
The building was constructed in 1904 according to the design of the Russian architect, academician... of architecture of the Imperial Academy of Arts, Pavel Sюzor.
At different times, in addition to the Singer Company, there were tailoring workshops, an American consulate, a publishing house, and one of the most famous bookstores in Russia — the "Saint Petersburg House of Books".
