Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov – a talented writer and playwright of the 20th century. Elena Sergeyevna Bulgakova, the writer's third wife, the prototype of Margarita in the famous novel, became the chronicler of her husband's life and work. From 1933 until the Master’s death, at his insistence and often under his dictation, she recorded notes about their everyday life, work, and the tragic fate of Bulgakov.
