Ania has a superpower that she cannot control: with the force of her voice, she can destroy everything around her. Outside, it is 1940. Ania lives in Leningrad with her older brother Petya. Afraid that he will die in an accident, Ania screams — and pushes away a truck and a tram. The pavement is shattered, pedestrians are injured, there is blood everywhere.
Soon, government security agencies become interested in the girl, as well as a mysterious foreigner with a mechanical glove.

Ania will have to run as far away as possible. Will she be able to maintain her freedom? Are there people in the world who are willing to protect and understand her — or even resemble her?
