The Three-Body Problem

In the times when China was experiencing the aftermath of the brutal "Cultural Revolution," signals were sent into space as part of a secret military project to establish contact with extraterrestrial intelligence. One of the signals was received by a civilization on the brink of extinction, and now the aliens are preparing to invade Earth. Upon learning this, humanity has divided into those ready to surrender our flawed world to the control of a higher intelligence and those who will fight against this invasion to the last.
