Love by Prediction

After graduating from the philological faculty, Alina Delfinova was confident that all doors were open to her. After all, she had two foreign languages under her belt! But it turned out that English and French should also come with work... experience. And where to get that if she had spent many years poring over textbooks to learn these very languages of the romance-germanic group, damn them?! She had to settle for less – working at a shabby institute and taking on students. There was no time for anything else. Neither was there money. Only gloomy evenings remained in her tiny apartment with excellent acoustics.

One day in the bathroom, listening to her neighbor's complaints about failures in her personal life, Alina couldn't take it anymore and yelled her comments into the ventilation hole. However, for some reason, her fiery speech came out in verses and as a prophecy. Now from time to time, Delfinova amused herself by giving simple advice to her eternally suffering neighbor. And then she accidentally found out that all her "predictions" had come true, she was called the unseen Oracle, and her neighbor's mother-in-law was already inviting clients for spiritual sessions and charging them money.

Well, this is just too much! Alina thought for a long time, and then decided: let it be so! In her predictions, she began to demand payment, but not in money, rather in good deeds for other people. Surprisingly, but Alina Delfinova’s life changed drastically. Her career took off, and her personal life got better. What is this – luck? Or the circulation of virtue in nature?
