Death and Goat Cheese

A middle-aged Englishman and owner of a small hotel in a quiet French valley, Richard Ainsworth, leads a peaceful life, and he enjoys it. The most notable event in his town in a long time is the opening of a restaurant by a culinary star and holder of all Michelin stars.
The whole town is gathered, the evening sparkles with sophistication, glasses of sparkling wine are clinking…
And what could possibly go wrong? But suddenly a scandal! The highlight of the evening, the dish that brought worldwide fame to the chef, is served with a modified recipe! The restaurant is disgraced, the town is in shock, and the leading cheese supplier drowns himself in one of the vats of goat milk.
A restaurant critic, who is staying with Richard, believes that the cheesemaker has been murdered, and of course Valérie d’Orse cannot help but start her own investigation into this intriguing story. Richard is once again pulled in and is surprised to discover that he plays an important role in his adventurous girlfriend's new case.
