Jo and Laurie

1869, Concord, Massachusetts. After the publication of her first novel, Jo March was stunned to discover that her book became a bestseller, and the publisher and fans demanded a sequel. When Jo is asked to come up with a new story, she heads to New York for a week with her dear friend Laurie for a dose of inspiration, filling their days with museums, operas, and even a once-in-a-lifetime reading of Charles Dickens himself! But Laurie has romance on his mind, and despite the growing feelings, Jo's desire to remain independent leads her to decline his sincere proposal, sending Laurie off to college with a broken heart.
