2067. Rosewater, a city built around an alien dome, dubbed the Star of Wormwood. Now it has a new charismatic mayor, Jack Jacques, who declares Rosewater a free state, independent from Nigeria. But something strange is happening with alien life lately, for even the most powerful beings have their enemies. Meanwhile, in a quiet suburb, an ordinary woman awakens.
