For the Holy Faith

Based on authentic historical documents, the drama "For the Holy Faith" is dedicated to a great national tragedy that took place in Russian history - the schism of the Russian Orthodox Church, which occurred during the patriarchate of Nikon (1652-1666).

At the center of the narrative is the confrontation between Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich and the Solovetsky Monastery, the relationships between Power and the Church, as well as the fates of ordinary people caught up in the whirlpool of turbulent historical events.
