Once the Deities ruled the Continent, and thus the whole world, but Saipur was just an oppressed colony, devoid of divine grace. But in the absence of miracles, the Saipurans chose the path of technological development and as a result not only overthrew the continental power but also killed almost all the Deities, plunging the continent into chaos. Everything created by the Deities disappeared, cities lay in ruins, local residents are forbidden to study their own history and carry out religious rituals. When a Saipur historian, who was researching local legends, dies under mysterious circumstances in Mirgrad, the capital of the Continent, Shara Tivani arrives in the city. Officially she is just an ordinary cultural ambassador, but in reality, she is one of the most experienced spies of Saipur. Her task is to find the killer, but soon she realizes that the stakes in this matter are higher than ever, that in Mirgrad everything is not what it seems, real monsters lurk here, conspiracies abound, one cannot even trust their own, and the information about the death of the Deities seems to be greatly exaggerated.
