White-burning Stone

Isolde, the daughter of special settlers, was named after the heroine of her father's favorite opera. Her mother and everyone around called her Izочка. The widowed Maria was helped in raising the little girl by a family of Yakut collective farmers. The girl felt the same love for both mothers, and thanks to her second mother Maiis, she wholeheartedly became attached to the taiga region.
