A mysterious hacker has hacked the control systems of eight self-driving cars, which have recently become the norm for all residents of the UK. Now he threatens their passengers with death. Among his hostages are a fading TV star; an illegal immigrant; a young pregnant woman; a husband and wife traveling separately; a war veteran; a man wishing to end his life; a wife escaping from her tyrant husband.
Built-in cameras broadcast their panic to millions of viewers around the world. And now these millions must take sides. Because the hacker has already opened the voting: «Who will survive in the end? And who will die first?»
