A book about safe work on the Internet and protecting personal data, including adherence to anonymization and privacy measures. It discusses issues of choosing strong passwords, using proxy servers, anonymous networks, and VPNs, encryption technologies, and secure communication. Special attention is given to the Tails anonymous operating system, recommended by Edward Snowden. Methods of covert communication through secure communication channels and connections to anonymous networks, such as I2P, RetroShare, and others, are provided. Practical recommendations for safe work with torrents, messengers, and file archives are given. The book will help understand the structure of the Darknet and the warez scene. A separate chapter is dedicated to the onion architecture and the Tor browser. Particular attention is paid to the customization of installed programs.
