The Black Hen, or Underground Dwellers = Чёрная курица, или Подземные жители (+ CD)

The textbook is an adaptation of the well-known fairy tale by Russian writer Antoniy Pogorel'skiy "The Black Hen, or Underground Dwellers". This captivating story is about a ten-year-old boy who finds himself in an underground kingdom, receives a wonderful gift, and then loses his friend due to his cowardice. The fairy tale teaches children honesty, loyalty, and kindness. 
The text of the textbook is adapted for educational purposes to the Beginner level. After each chapter, exercises are provided aimed at expanding vocabulary, practicing grammatical structures, and developing oral speech skills. New words are included in a glossary, which is placed at the end of the book.
