A bit more about the game
An incredible thing happened: scientists cloned dinosaurs! After so many years of research and experiments, they managed to bring ancient reptiles back to life... and now they need to find a place for them. Huge dino-parks are being built all over the world, and yours must become the best.
The rules of "Draftosaurs" are incredibly simple, and each game consists of two rounds lasting literally 15 minutes. At the beginning of each round, you draw six dinosaur figures from a special bag and hide them in your hands, not showing them to the other players. Each turn, you will pick one dinosaur from your supply and place it in the appropriate enclosure, while passing the remaining dinosaurs to the neighbor on your left.
However, there are a couple of problems. First, all enclosures are different. Some can hold only one dinosaur, others several, but they must all be of the same species, and one enclosure acts as an isolator — at the end of the game, the dinosaur in it will need to be moved elsewhere. The dino-park boards are double-sided, with each side featuring six enclosures with their own characteristics. Choose a side before the game and be careful when placing the dinosaurs — it will determine your victory!
In addition, there's a die in the game, and its roll determines the most important — where you can place the dinosaur this turn. To the left or right of the river? In the forest area or in the meadow area? Each of these areas has three enclosures. The choice is yours! However, sometimes the die asks you to place a dinosaur in an empty enclosure or one without tyrannosaurus rex — and this can be a bit more challenging, especially at the end of the game when there are many dinosaurs of all kinds and species in your dino-park.
Good news — the player rolling the die can choose not to follow its instructions and place the dinosaur in any enclosure. Bad news — the die is passed clockwise, so you won't be able to roll it forever, and you will have to follow the placement rules after all.
But there’s always a choice — even if you can't place a dinosaur in an enclosure, you can always make it aquatic and send it to the river. And this will also earn you victory points!
As soon as the dinosaurs in your hands run out, draw new ones from the bag and continue the game. At the end of the game, there will be exactly 12 figures in your dino-park — the player who scores the most victory points with their help wins!
