Board Game - Metro 2033 (2nd Edition)

The action takes us to the world of the Moscow subway after a major nuclear war. This is a harsh world where various underground factions are in constant survival warfare.

How to play?
Before us is a classic resource strategy with direct confrontation between players. Choosing between six factions, players begin a war for new stations and resources. Each new station provides you with various resources that correspond to the dice rolls (the system is reminiscent of "Settlers").

To win, you must score 10 victory points. Points can be earned in two ways – by capturing new stations and completing your heroes' side quests. But keep in mind that the underground world of the board game "Metro 2033", like the book world, is populated by various mutants and full of threats, and you will have to regularly repel them to maintain control over the stations.

To become the winner, you will need to diligently complete the tasks assigned to you and fiercely fight with other players for control over the stations. Be careful: if no enemy is lurking at the station, it is quite possible that a crazed mutant or a bloodthirsty monster is hiding in its dark alleys.

Yes, now everything depends solely on your brain. A well-thought-out move is now worth much more: if earlier a loss could be blamed on a failed dice roll, now that won't fly anymore. The post-apocalyptic universe has become more rational, logical, and, damn it, really more interesting.

What is different from the first version:

In fact, almost everything has changed. Here are the main points in which the board game has been thoroughly redesigned:

• The clan and hero cards have changed. They are now smaller, do not contain scales, only depict the clan symbol and game bonus, and special abilities are now given to characters for free.
• The metro map is now divided into territories. Colored blocks represent districts where players must coexist. Each player chooses their faction at the beginning of the game.
• Resources are no longer replenished after each turn: you will have to think twice about how to spend the "voucher" goodies you receive. You can only get 1 token from a station. By the way, the Polis stations have become universal and therefore twice as valuable.
• Rounds are now divided into phases: event, mobilization, army action, hero action, and end of the round.
• The new policy of the Poles and the Hanza – they freely allow players' squads to pass through their stations.
• Additionally: game tasks are now issued on the Circle Line, items are only given directly to hands, and the Hanza Market trades them openly, weapons now have classic bonuses, and squad management has become more complex.
• The mechanics of combat have completely changed. In a confrontation, the larger force always wins – be it a clash with an army, a battle with a threat, or a duel between two heroes. The element of surprise is introduced by the combat deck, from which players are dealt "blindly" 1 card with a bonus.
