Iso-Isolation

The group «Iso-Isolation» appeared on the internet in March 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic locked us all in our homes.
It all started with a friendly flash mob with simple rules: to take a photo based on a painting by a... famous artist without Photoshop and with a backdrop of household items.
In less than a month, over 500,000 participants from around the world joined the group. They created tens of thousands of works in which they creatively and humorously reinterpreted great works of art.
The flash mob, which started as a fun activity, became a breath of fresh air during difficult days of isolation and an invitation to a world where anyone can become a creator. Today, it can be confidently said that «Iso-Isolation» is a cultural phenomenon of our time.
We have selected the best works from the group, accompanied by commentary from an art historian, and are pleased to present to you part of the brilliant virtual museum called «Iso-Isolation».
