Does the city remember the people who lived their whole lives in it?

They walked its streets every day, breathed its breeze, dust, and smoke, fought for its peace and integrity, buried their loved ones in its soil, and welcomed a new generation with open arms.

I know it is impossible to remember all the faces, that people are like the swift and endless flow of a river. But I believe that the city remembers those who love it, who serve it with their deeds – they leave their marks here.
