This textbook is intended for students of non-linguistic universities who are beginning to study Spanish from scratch and corresponds to the curriculum of the first and second years of Spanish language study for non-linguistic specialties. It can be used in language universities for teaching Spanish as a second foreign language, in foreign language courses, and can also be useful for anyone who wants to expand their knowledge of the Spanish language. An undeniable advantage of the book is the presence of keys. The aim of the textbook is to develop students’ skills in free communication, perception of non-specialized speech by ear, and reading texts of any complexity with a dictionary. 
The disc also contains a complete phonetic course in Spanish. It includes exercises for repeating sounds, syntagms, and phrases, exercises for distinguishing individual complex sounds or intonational blocks. The narrator of this course is a Spanish language teacher from Madrid.
