"Traffic Jam" is a game where everyone will find something interesting for themselves. Why does a game designed for teaching children engage even adults? In this game, children become traffic controllers. The task is not to create any traffic jams. The...
controllers will be aided by resourcefulness, ingenuity, and a few other things… By playing "Traffic Jam," children begin to navigate freely in the numerical series from 1 to 50 and easily compare two-digit numbers. The game provides a visual representation of the concepts of "interval" and "difference." All of this comes easily and without coercion during the exciting activity. In "Traffic Jam," even those who have only mastered counting up to 10 can play. Simplified rules make the transition to two-digit numbers clear. With the gradual complication of the rules, the game sparks increasing interest and expands the volume of acquired knowledge. "Traffic Jam" involves logic, strategic thinking, the ability to calculate one's own actions and the actions of the opponent. This captivates both older children and adults. In the game set, there are cards depicting toy cars. Among them, there is not a single duplicate! The cards have numbers and dots, the number of which corresponds to the number. This little trick helps children understand some important concepts: the dots indicate the difference between pairs of numbers like "13" and "31." Confusion often arises with such numbers when children are just learning to count. The dots also show that the number made up of two and one — "21" — is greater than "19," made up of one and nine. Let’s Go!Three toy cars from the deck start their own rows on a three-lane road. The players' task is to continue these rows from the smaller number to the larger one. Players choose one card from their hands and reveal them simultaneously, after which they take turns in ascending order based on the number on the card. The card must be added to one of the rows such that the number on it is greater than the number on the last card in the row. At the same time, they must choose the row for which the difference between these numbers is the smallest. Whoever places their card fifth in a row collects all cards in that row, leaving their card at the start. If a player has a card that is too small to play — they take any row. The winner is the player who collects the least number of traffic jams.In addition to regular toy cars, there will also be special vehicles on the roads — an ambulance, police car, trailer, and tow truck. Each of them plays its role in the game, and all add unexpected fun. The game also includes simplified rules that allow children from 4 years old to play.
