These materials are aimed at older preschoolers who are preparing for school in mathematics. Topics such as “Quantity and Counting”, “Magnitude”, “Orientation in Space”, “Geometric Shapes”, “Graphic Works”, “Logical Tasks” are studied. Children, performing tasks under the guidance of teachers or parents, learn to count, solve examples and problems, orient themselves in space and time, compare objects based on various attributes; they establish equalities and inequalities between groups of objects and numbers; become acquainted with geometric shapes; divide shapes into equal and unequal parts, and change one or several attributes of geometric shapes (size, shape, color).
Preschoolers perform various types of graphic dictations; they copy and complete objects by dots and cells. Children learn to think, compare, match, reason, and make decisions. They are introduced to the basics of analysis and synthesis. Preschoolers develop memory, attention, and logical thinking.
Test checks will teach children to find and correct mistakes in already completed tasks, while allowing adults to monitor the level of material comprehension by preschoolers.
