«Oscar and I» has been awarded the main literary prize in Norway — the Brage Prize (2023), the children's literature prize Nynorsk barnelitteraturpris (2023), and the Italian Premio Letteratura Ragazzi di Cento (2025). In 2025, it was included in the international catalog of the best children's and youth books «White Ravens».
