«Children should be smarter than their parents», – mother used to say. But I can't seem to be smarter! That's why I ended up with a three in the quarter in Russian. It messes up my column of fours and fives! Unfair: I write well, once I even composed a whole book about a speedy monkey. And then another story about how I lost my schoolbag. And about the terrible, unpleasant birthday of Liza Komarova. And more, and more… Alright, let's take it one step at a time!

My name is Dima Vasylkin, I study in the third grade 'A' and constantly find myself in funny situations. Not all of them seem funny right away – like, for example, when Kostiak and I got stuck at his house until nighttime. But I still love such cases – telling them later is a real pleasure! But what I don’t like is this: «To the board will go... Vasylkin!» – the words that our teacher Svetlana Alexeyevna says every day. Why? Is it not enough for me to have adventures without that «to the board»! Just consider!
