On Both Sides of the Wall

Berlin, early 1960s. In a city divided into spheres of influence by the Allies, the memory of the war is still fresh, but citizens of the socialist GDR can freely move to the western sector and even study there at university. Medical student Lisa has long made her choice: she wants to live in West Berlin, even if it means parting with her father and brother. However, she will be close to her beloved Uli, with whom they will soon marry... But the political machine is relentless: the Berlin Wall, which grew overnight, threatens to forever separate the lovers. Thus begins the long journey of the young couple toward reunification, bitter, often painful, but full of desperate hope.
