In the distant year of 1959, Vladimir Zhuravlev first visited the village of Izhevsk - the birthplace of E.K. Tsiolkovsky. This became a memory through the poems included in a collection.Vladimir Zhuravlev was born in Moscow on June 6, 1941.... His childhood, adolescence, and youth were spent in "pre-stellar" towns — due to his father's service as a military pilot. Vladimir dreamed of becoming a pilot, but fate had different plans. After experiencing the romance of working professions, he graduated from the journalism faculty of Moscow State University and became a professional journalist. He traveled extensively across the country. In 1994, he became the first journalist to step onto the Pole of Inaccessibility in the Northern Arctic Ocean. That same year, he made a trip from Bratsk to Komsomolsk-on-Amur and published a collection of essays titled "The Tale of BAM," released by the "Mysl", "Progress" publishers, and abroad. V. Zhuravlev became the first journalist to visit the Kazakh village of Baikonur, named after the cosmodrome and the city of the same name. As a poet, V. Zhuravlev made his mark in his youth. He published poems in regional and provincial press, and later in central newspapers and magazines. But he mostly wrote for his soul, "in the drawer."This book was born from that. It is characterized by heartfelt sincerity, reflections on time and oneself, and faith in a happy future for Russia. This collection includes not only modern poems but also those written in youth — during the dawn of the space era.
