Settlement

Seventeen years ago, a spaceship of Earthlings crashed on an uninhabited planet. Less than half of the crew members survived. Help never came. The people built a small settlement and tried to live... but life turned into survival and a brutal fight for existence. Adults aged and died, while the children born in the settlement grew up, essentially, as savages with a harsh tribal mentality — belonging to their harsh nature and alien to human civilization. Three attempts to reach the abandoned ship to retrieve essential supplies, medicines, books, and weapons for the settlers have already failed. The book is illustrated with picturesque works by the famous mathematician and author of "New Chronology" A. T. Fomenko. Most of these works were used by director V. I. Tarasov in the half-hour animated film "The Pass," made in 1988 at the "Soyuzmultfilm" studio based on the novella by Kir Bulychev — the first part of the novel "Settlement."
