Semiosis

Fleeing from numerous wars, ecological disasters, and the dictatorship of corrupt governments, a group of Earthlings tries to settle on a new planet called Mir. Years of anabiosis have not been in vain: the people are weakened, few in number, and the unexplored Mir is full of dangers. But one should not only fear the elements, predators, and hunger – there are intelligent beings here, to whose needs the colonists must adapt in order to survive. And the new humanity becomes a symbiont for a unique species of plants – rainbow bamboo, which is ready to help them. But is such cooperation really safe? After all, the intelligent bamboo is a dominant and aggressive species.
