Fyodor Ivanovich Tyutchev (1803–1873) was a prominent Russian poet, corresponding member of the Petersburg Academy of Sciences, translator, diplomat, and official. Continuing the traditions of Lomonosov and Derzhavin, Tyutchev, known for the fragmentary form of his poems and the cosmization... of human existence, was unlike any of his contemporaries.
