The Royal Academy of Rohini is considered the best school in the world - primarily because the Queen of Light is chosen from among its students, whose duty is to protect all existence from the machinations of the forces of... darkness. In reality, this position is purely symbolic - the bloody wars between good and evil are a thing of the distant past, and fierce demons are securely locked at the bottom of the abyss. As a result, the bearer of the proud title of Queen is initially doomed to idleness - and universal reverence! When the time comes to elect a new queen, the most likely candidates for the throne are the beautiful, polite, and diligent Lucia, and the hot-tempered, carefree, and somewhat lazy Jun. The rivalry between such dissimilar candidates is further complicated by the fact that both girls are in love with their mysterious classmate Sejuro. However, this last circumstance seems like mere nonsense compared to the fact that ancient demons have found a way to escape from their prison and are now preparing to unleash the wrath accumulated over many centuries of confinement upon innocent people.
