On Behalf of Earth

Are we alone in the universe? How many times has humanity asked itself this question, looking with a longing and anxious gaze into the unfathomable silence of the night sky? What could the first contact be like? Will they be... our brothers, or enemies, invaders tempted by our beautiful planet? Do the eight representatives of Earth, sent on the first research mission to Mars, ponder this question? No. Despite the fact that they are the best representatives from various countries participating in the project – scientists, doctors, military personnel – they are, first and foremost, human beings. They are concerned with simple human questions. Leadership. Friendship. Love. However, their flight has become a signal for the Supersociety – a fellowship of worlds from the Orion belt, and it is they who must answer the question: whom do they see in space – enemies or friends. And what answer they find will determine the entire future of Earth. On Earth itself, such a discovery is met with enthusiasm and suspicion. While some seek to assist the Martian eight, others look for ways to benefit their countries from this, or even fear a trap from the aliens, and this disunity only exacerbates the situation.
