Finger Gymnastics. Author's Course in Verses and Pictures

The author's course of finger gymnastics, developed by a children's speech therapist, includes the staging of cheerful poems using fingers. The exercises are aimed at developing fine motor skills of the hands, which are responsible for a child's speech, sense of rhythm, coordination, memory, emotional sphere, and spatial thinking. Actions performed with both hands simultaneously contribute to the formation of interhemispheric connections, which in turn affects the harmonious development of a child's psyche. Performing finger gymnastics also prepares a child for drawing and writing, and teaches counting up to 10. The manual can be used in individual sessions and at home, recommended for parents of preschool children, educators, speech therapists, and defectologists.
