Finger Gymnastics. Author's Course in Verses and Pictures

The author's course of finger gymnastics, developed by a children's speech therapist, includes the staging of cheerful poems using fingers. The exercises are aimed at developing fine motor skills of the hands, which are responsible for a child's speech, sense... of rhythm, coordination, memory, emotional sphere, and spatial thinking. Actions performed with both hands simultaneously contribute to the formation of interhemispheric connections, which in turn affects the harmonious development of a child's psyche. Performing finger gymnastics also prepares a child for drawing and writing, and teaches counting up to 10.
