The board game "Sherlock Holmes, Consultant Detective. Murders on the Thames and Other Investigations" was released in 1982 and turned out to be so good that it was reissued in 2017. We have happily sold several print runs already! Years... pass, but its mysteries do not age, just like the original stories about Sherlock Holmes.
This is a cooperative game in which you will unveil the most unimaginable crimes. Read the introduction in the case book, think everything through carefully, and decide which lead to follow. Before you is all of London. Choose any address! The crime scene? A bar where shady characters gather? Or maybe a childhood friend of the murdered who hasn't seen him for 20 years? Anything is possible if you have a good working theory. At the corresponding address, a narrative text awaits you, shedding light on the events of the case.
Once your investigation is complete, you will face the genius detective himself and find out how many steps he took to solve the case. The closer you are to his result, the more points you earn!
You will have a map of London, several newspapers where only a true detective can find something suspicious, and a directory with the addresses of London's residents and organizations. Only your detective skills determine what you will uncover during the investigation.
"Murders on the Thames and Other Investigations" is a standalone game. Ten investigations in Victorian London: "The Curse of the Mummy", "The Arms Magnate", "Stolen Art", "Murders on the Thames", and other convoluted crimes that caught the attention of the great detective.
