In the provincial Russian town of N., very strange things are happening. A suspiciously elegant man has appeared at the train station, the local fireflies are behaving completely inexplicably, and Dasha has become infatuated with a young man who recently... arrived in town, who — is it possible? — possesses supernatural abilities. However, all of this seems to have led to a great disaster, and the consequences will have to be dealt with by Dasha's younger brother Slava, whose life is already difficult.
