Extraordinary

Eleven-year-old Ella Duran is the first sorceress lucky enough to be accepted into the Arcanum Institute of the Amazing and Extraordinary. There, extraordinary beings from all over the world hone their magical talents: they create miracles with the weather, brew elixirs from Indian spices, peer into the past and future, and learn to negotiate with Irish pixies. Not all extraordinary beings are happy to see a sorceress among them, but Ella sincerely hopes to become one of them — and to find true friends.
