Five Minutes Before January

The heroes of this book are far from festive on the eve of the New Year. Aspiring actress Olesya fails her audition for a musical due to a hoarse voice. Famous actress Lisa feels lonely and unloved, while her beloved, composer Andrey, instead of proposing, goes off alone to celebrate the New Year in the village of Babaevo. Two prisoners escape from a colony, and brave police officer Alexey sets out to find them. And then - a peculiar deck is shuffled, and all roads lead to snowy Babaevo.
