Poor Lisa and Her Relatives. Anthology of Russian Sentimental Prose

The collection has been prepared specifically for the second issue of the program "Zakladka," in which hosts Ekaterina Schulman and Galina Yuzefovich talk about Russian sentimental prose.

"Is there enough space in our small collection for all the initiators and followers of Russian sentimentalism? Of course not. But we have tried to select samples of the genre, or its curious offshoots, or texts marked by individual talent breaking through the stylistic boundaries of the era," write Ekaterina Schulman and Galina Yuzefovich.

The collection includes stories and novellas by Nikolai Karamzin, Alexander Izmailov, Nadezhda Durova, and others.

The collection is accompanied by a foreword by Ekaterina Schulman and Galina Yuzefovich.
