The small town of Alatangka in Central Asia becomes the battleground for two corporations and a focal point for the active interest of criminal structures and various international intelligence agencies. Artifacts from the local anomalous Zone can not only change the weather or cause earthquakes, but they can also help achieve a genius discovery or attain financial prosperity. However, they can also drive one insane, lead to bankruptcy, or ruin a life. The problem is that they do this spontaneously and uncontrollably, and it’s no wonder that many are willing to go to any lengths just to learn how to control the “wonders.” Sergey Fokin, who works in information security at one of the corporations, is recruited to search for a missing representative of the Russian intelligence services. This recruitment becomes the first step in a series of unpredictable events. It turns out that Fokin is needed by literally everyone involved, as he has a unique trait — an allergy to “wonders.”
