The Daughter of Time

“The Daughter of Time” is the most famous novel by Josephine Tey. The Detection Club officially considers it the greatest English detective story. Can a bed-ridden inspector from Scotland Yard solve a murder that occurred almost five hundred years ago? Alan Grant lies in a hospital with a broken leg and, out of boredom, decides to unravel the mystery of the most convoluted crime of medieval England — the deaths of two little princes — for which the usurper king and the hunchback monster from children's tales, Richard III, are accused.
