Hungarian Language. Self-Study Guide

This self-study guide is intended for those who study the Hungarian language independently. It allows the development of speaking skills necessary for communication and reading simple literature, and mastering the basics of grammar: the self-study lessons introduce both the grammatical features of the language and commonly used conversational everyday vocabulary. Having mastered it, one can easily handle any situation in direct communication with the residents of Hungary. For quick memorization of common speech constructions, read carefully the selections with lexical material, which includes transliteration (the thematic list is provided in the contents). In each lesson of the self-study guide, you will find descriptions of the lexical-grammatical categories of all parts of speech, exercises for memorizing the studied material, and texts using active speech structures. At the end of the book, there are lesson keys for checking the completed exercises. The self-study lessons are supplemented with a dictionary that can be used to translate unfamiliar words found in exercises.
