A woman's corpse with a mysterious symbol carved on her chest has been discovered in Bern. However, this is not the only victim. Dutch profiler Maarten S. Sneijders and BKA commissioner Sabina Nemetz launch a hunt for the criminal, but... it seems the murderer is always one step ahead. Meanwhile, a young psychology specialist, Hanna, arrives at "Steinfels", a prison for offenders with mental disorders. She is to conduct group therapy sessions. But she is interested in only one inmate - Piet van Loon. Once, Sneijders locked him up. Thus, both experienced investigators and a budding psychologist find themselves drawn into a devilish game in which there will be no winner.
