The House of Fate

Amsterdam, 1705. Tée Brandt is turning eighteen soon, and she eagerly awaits becoming an adult. But at home on Herengracht, things are very complicated. Her father Otto and aunt Nella constantly bicker and sell furniture to keep the family afloat. After receiving an invitation to the most prestigious ball in Amsterdam, the aunt believes she can finally change her niece's fate. But mysterious miniatures appear again at their doorstep. On Tée's birthday, which coincides with the day of her mother's death, the secrets of the past come to the surface and Aunt Nella's fears begin to come true... Is someone playing with their lives again? But who?
