Circus

Anastasia Nosova (b. 1998) is a prose writer, a graduate of the master's program "Literary Craft" at HSE, a world champion in roller skating, and has worked in the performances of the "Antique Circus". 

The circus is a celebration, magic tricks, exotic animals, agile acrobats… It is also incredibly hard work that requires complete dedication, professionalism, and a rare gift. 

Thirteen-year-old Olya Kurkina dreams of getting into the circus and staying there. 

The hereditary circus performer Pavel Ogarev is looking for a successor and becomes her teacher. They are different; the darkness obeys them — a force that can not only create an illusion in the ring but also spill into life — onto the streets of Saratov in the 1990s.
