The Blue Bird

The celebrated diptych by Maeterlinck "The Blue Bird" and "The Betrothal" has entered the golden fund not only of French literature but also of world literary symbolism. A whimsical blend of reality and fantasy, simple yet multifaceted images. In a small house on the edge of the forest once lived two children, Tyltyl and Mityl, a brother and sister. On Christmas Eve, something incredible happened: a real fairy came to visit them, who was looking for the Blue Bird for her sick daughter. In their poor little house, as the children thought, there could be no birds, and so they set off with the fairy to search for it. Their journey was full of adventures and new discoveries, the main one of which changed their lives forever.
