Board Game - Oriflamme

The King of France has died and left no heir. All the influential families of the kingdom are engaged in the struggle for the crown. To achieve their goals, they are ready to conspire, weave intrigues, make sudden attacks, and openly use force. You are the head of one such family, and your goal is the royal throne.

The board game Oriflamme is an exciting card game in which players take turns playing cards, trying to maximize their properties.

Each player has an identical set of 10 characters. Each of them has a unique property: some create or take influence points, some eliminate other characters from the game, and some set traps. Using the cards, players create a series of events, playing which they will gain or lose influence tokens. The one who collects more of these
tokens will win the game.

Oriflamme has already won two international awards: the 2020 UK Games Expo Best New Card Game (Strategic) Judges Award Winner and the 2020 As d'Or - Jeu de l'Annee Winner.

How to play?
All players receive an identical set of 10 cards but randomly select only 7 for the game. The game consists of 6 rounds. A round consists of 2 phases.
1. Planning phase
All players take turns laying down one card from their hand into a shared event row in the center of the table. A card can be placed face up or face down. This allows for setting traps and surprising opponents with unexpected effects during the game. Each card has its own effect, such as attacking, reacting to an attack, providing influence tokens, moving cards in the event row, etc.
2. Event phase
Effects of the cards in the event row are applied, starting from the first card. If a card is face down, the owner decides whether to reveal it and activate the effect or keep it closed and accumulate influence tokens on it. Effects of cards that are face up are applied without question.
At the end of the 6th round, the game ends, and the winner is determined by the number of influence points.
