Under the River

Kira's father is a settler from a flooded village, where the Krasnoyarsk Reservoir now stands. The only thing he talks about with interest to his daughter is his lost home and the graves of their ancestors that remain underwater. Kira grows up, leaves home, and moves from city to city, never finding her place.  

After her father's death, she returns to help her sister sort through his belongings, and she encounters a terrible discovery.
